  • Wont This Database Create An Echo Chamber
We understand that the introduction of new technology can bring about apprehension. Balancing the use and potential misuse of such technology is a challenge we must all face together. We encourage everyone in our congregations to approach this database, and even the chatbot, with thoughtful consideration. Remember, this is essentially a tool. It's a remarkable one, indeed, offering a wealth of data to those who seek it. But it remains just that - a tool. It serves as a safer alternative to general internet searches, filtering out unwanted noise and providing more relevant resources. While it's not perfect, when used in conjunction with other tools and, most importantly, established good study habits, it holds immense potential to bless its users. It can enrich your journey of exploration and understanding. Let's embrace this opportunity, knowing that with careful use, this technology can become a valuable ally in our pursuit of wisdom and knowledge.
  • What Can This AI Do?
This website gives you access to a database created by AI. This means it can scan and interpret data faster than any human could, and it even appears to understand what it has read. Despite this, remember that it doesn't have personal experiences or context like a living being; it's not truly alive. After it processes the entire database, it identifies which pieces of literature discuss similar topics. This is known as semantic search. We've also trained our AI to understand the usage of each verse and paragraph in a lesson, providing context to its searches. Interacting with this database is like visiting a friend's house that boasts an extraordinary study library. Not only does this friend have an incredible collection, but they can tell you exactly which book or article to read to answer your question or assist with your studies. The second AI-powered feature of this website is the chatbot. Imagine you visit the same friend's house, and they have twenty articles on the subject you're interested in, but you only have time to read one. Your friend then sits down and summarizes the key points from the 20 articles for you. This saves you time, allowing you to focus on more important tasks, like reading the Bible.
  • Will you allow false doctrine into this database?
No we will now knowingly put false doctrine into the database. We also will have a flagging system that will allow you to let us know if you think something slipped by us. It is not easy to pull information out, it takes time. But we will be actively monitoring those reports. At the same time we do recognize that there could be two views that members of the brotherhood may hold, such as on Christmas or the Holy Spirit you may find articles that hold one view or another.
  • How this AI should not Be Used.
While this tool is designed to assist you, it is crucial not to rely solely on it for quick answers. Remember, Bible study is a journey, not a destination. It requires time, patience, and above all, personal engagement. Use this resource as a stepping stone, not a final destination, and make sure to cross-reference with other sources. This technology, while powerful, is ultimately a creation of man and thus, is not immune to flaws. It's a guide, not a replacement for your own discernment and understanding. We implore you to spend time in personal study, getting to know and understand the Bible on a deeper level. Your salvation is a personal journey that must be worked out with respect and diligence. Remember, the richness of the Bible unfolds not merely in the finding, but in the seeking. Happy studying!
  • What is AI
Artificial Intelligence, or AI for short, is like a very advanced calculator. Instead of just doing math, it can perform a wide range of tasks that usually require human intelligence, such as recognizing patterns, understanding language, or making decisions. It's like teaching a machine to think in a way that's similar to how humans do. ChatGPT, is a type of AI language model or chatbot. You can think of it as a super smart typewriter. You ask it a question or give it a prompt, and it generates a written response. It has to be trained on a wide range of texts, so it can answer many types of questions or engage in conversation on a variety of topics. Out "Biblebot" has been trained only on bible things and that is what it can talk to you about. It's a bit like a very knowledgeable pen pal who responds instantly! A good analogy for AI might be a very clever parrot. Just as a parrot can mimic human speech and sometimes even seem to understand it, AI can mimic human thought processes and sometimes even seem to understand them. However, just like the parrot doesn't truly understand the words it's saying, AI doesn't truly understand the tasks it's performing. It's just following the patterns it's been trained on.

  • What about controversial topics?
This database will contain what the brotherhood has put out over the years. You may find articles that are talking about struggles that we have faced in the past. These might not reflect where we stand today but does reflect the journey we took to get here. If you are talking about something like Christmas or the holy spirit. If it is view held by a good number of our brotherhood there is a place here. But if someone wrote a lesson promoting faith alone salvation or something like that it will not make it in.

We want this to be a wonderful resource for the brotherhood. And we will be sure to pass those savings on to you.
